The ASNR at the Regulatory Information Conference (RIC) 2025

In mid-March, ASNR Commissioner Jean-Luc Lachaume attended the Regulatory Information Conference organized by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (US NRC) near Washington DC. During the conference, he was able to present the new ASNR to the Chairman and management of the NRC.

The 2025 edition of the Regulatory Information Conference, devoted this year to “Charting the next 50 years”, was the occasion, as every year, for talks with our counterparts also present in Washington on this occasion. Given the change of administration in the United States and the creation of the ASNR in France, the main purpose of the discussions with the NRC was to present the new ASNR and confirm our cooperation. At the same time, was held a bilateral review of our current collaborations in the field of nuclear safety.

Meetings have also been held with our Ukrainian counterparts, the Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU), and the Scientific and International Director of the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety (SSTC-NRS), as well as with our German partner GRS.
