Strengthening collaboration with the Dutch Nuclear Safety Authority ANVS

As part of the consortium formed with Bel V (leader) and Bureau Veritas, ASNR participated in ANVS’s annual review meeting held at the authority’s headquarters in The Hague (Netherlands) on 8 December 2025.

Within the framework of the multi-year TSO contract awarded in 2022, this session allowed participants to review the year’s progress across key activities -  from safety assessments to radiation protection and environmental expertise.

The meeting also highlighted the growing nuclear ambitions of the Netherlands, including LTO Borssele and the ongoing work for PALLAS, the future high-flux research reactor in Petten (shielding analyses, DSA and PSA reviews). Proposed 2026 work programme and future regulatory needs were also discussed.

Feedback was positive on both sides: ANVS welcomed the high quality of reports and the effective cooperation. 

ASNR remains fully committed to supporting ANVS in the coming years and to contributing to a robust level of nuclear safety across Europe.
